TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State track and field teams officially kick off the home-meet schedule of the outdoor season the next few days at Mike Long Track with the FSU Relays. While the multi-events began on Wednesday and continue Thursday, the heart of the meet gets started at 9 a.m. on Friday morning with the hammer throw and concludes with the women’s 10000m at 9:25 p.m. On Saturday, the men’s discus gets things going at 10 a.m. and the men’s 4x400m relay caps off the meet for the college competitors at 510 p.m. A plethora of high school talent will also be competing over the course of the two days. Many of Florida State’s biggest stars will be in action and track and field fans in the Tallahassee area are encouraged to come out and cheer them on. Some of them include Kim Williams (triple jump, long jump, 100m and 200m), Charles Clark (4x400m relay), Marecia Pemberton (100m, 200m), Teona Rodgers (100m, 200m), Nogni Makusha (4x400m relay).
